gee’s Gift is a unique non-profit organization that will combine proven business principles and strategies from both non-profit and for-profit models. This hybrid organization will strive to use all available resources effectively and with the greatest efficiency, so we can maximize the number of animals and non-profit/no kill agencies that we can provide support to. We will only select the best strategies and processes that allow us to meet or exceed our goals.
The idea for Kgee’s Gift was first considered after Kgee passed away from cancer. You can learn more about this devoted pet under ‘In Memory of Kgee: The namesake’s story’ under the Our Story menu. At the time, the basic groundwork for this organization had already been formed. The founder, a police officer at the time that he found Kgee, was already working with fellow officers to rehab stray animals and find forever homes for them. However, as Kgee’s Gift started to come together, it coincided with the current challenging economic conditions. Thus, it became clear that a unique approach was needed for Kgee’s Gift to grow and increase resources to provide supports for the overwhelmed animal care system in Arizona.
Kgee’s Gift has received its letter of determination from Internal Revenue Service (IRS) September 2017, granting official tax except status 501(c)3 that will allow us to expand a donor/sponsor network, along with the non-profit/no kill rescue agency partner and affiliation network.
